Zakat Water Appeal

Despite the major advancements in science and technology, millions of people struggle to access clean water. Over 1000 children die each day due to dirty drinking water. It’s impossible to overstate the importance of clean drinking water as it affects all aspects of life: education, agriculture, health, and hygiene. The Prophet of Islam was asked, “Which charity is best?” He replied, “[providing] water.”

Human Concern International is on the ground in the most drought-stricken regions of the world to build the infrastructure needed to provide access to clean drinking water for thousands of communities. To ensure that WASH (Water, Sanitation, Hygiene) programs are tenable, we work with local partners who are more intimate with the challenges of their communities to find and implement practical and effective solutions.

This Ramadan, HCI is setting the goal of supporting 175,000 individuals with food and access to clean drinking water. We want to see a world where every human being has access to the most basic necessity needed in daily life. Your donation will fuel the fight for clean water.
