OVERVIEW

COVID-19 IN INDIA

India’s new coronavirus cases hit a record peak for a fifth day on Monday April 26th, adding 350,000 new cases each day. The country surpassed 17 million cases. India’s healthcare system has collapsed. Hospitals have run out of oxygen, beds, and other basic resources essential for the fight against COVID-19. India’s government is pleading internationally for help.

Human Concern International is mobilizing immediately to provide critical medical aid to those desperately in need. Our India Covid-19 Appeal aims to provide medical care to the needy patients living across the country.

As healthcare facilities are struggling to provide the essential care required, our program will deliver much needed healthcare assistance to COVID positive patients, including providing oxygen supply, ventilators & oxygen concentrators, critical medication, and access to physicians and free treatment for the poorest in the country.

In addition to working with hospitals, we are also providing care to patients living in the rural villages where there are no healthcare facilities.

For each patient that is quarantined at home, we are allocating a doctor’s diagnosis, medicine, covering the cost of hospitalization if needed, oxygen supply, and counselling services for the period of 14 days per patient.

The 1.3 billion members of our global community living in India need our help. As the crisis continues to heighten, your support will provide immediate critical aid, and directly save lives. Donate now!

OUR STAFF COMMENTS

The pandemic has caught everyone by surprise, but what didn’t surprise us was Canadian’s generosity and propensity to give to those less fortunate. We raised $300,000 to support our relief efforts in Canada and abroad.
